Hospitable Direct – Add-on Direct booking website service. 2 plans are available (see Features section below). A monthly per-property fee and a percentage transaction fee for each direct booking reservation.

Channel Management for the Following OTAs – Sort of.

  • Reservation information is managed for Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com to prevent double bookings, but Hospitable users will need to manage listing descriptions, photos, and details for VRBO and Booking.com through each of those platforms instead of only through Hospitable. This can be tedious if you are connected to Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com because you will have to update the information in three places instead just through the PMS.

Users can select from two plans, Direct Basic and Direct Premium.

  • Direct Basic
    • Users connect their own Stripe account, you are the liable Merchant of Record, you will need to calculate lodging taxes and add them to your properties, and you are also liable for cancellations, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • Direct Premium
    • Hospitable serves as the merchant of record for your direct booking reservations and will send reservations to any bank account you link. Payouts are typically sent within 24 hours after check-in.
    • Sales and lodging taxes are automatically calculated and collected.
    • Integrated guest vetting through Autohost and US$5M worth of damage protection through Superhog at no additional cost.

Guest Messaging – Yes, this is one of Hospitable’s best features because of its ease of use and reliability.  Customizable message templates are provided.  Messages can be automatically personalized for your guests and message delivery can be scheduled.  Airbnb and Vrbo guests receive their messages through the Airbnb and Vrbo messaging platforms.  Messages sent and received through the OTA platform are important if issues arise during the stay and you need to contact OTA customer support.

Pros

  • 14 day free trial.
  • Hospitable is intuitive and easy to set up. This draws a lot of users to Hospitable.
  • Guest messaging is reliable, and sends messages to Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com guests through their OTA messaging platforms. There are many hosts who use Hospitable strictly for their messaging feature and manage other aspects of their business through another PMS they run parallel to Hospitable.
  • The Bad Guest Review Feature: This feature lets hosts write a bad review for poor guests that is automatically posted 20 seconds before the review window expires. As a result, hosts can write an honest review without worrying about a retaliatory review from the guest.
  • Hospitable is in a growth and innovation phase and have been adding new features and integrations quickly.

Cons

  • Property managers might not find all the features they require.
  • The direct booking website feature is a subscription add-on.
  • Limited integration partners by comparison with other PMS.  *iCal calendar can be exported to connect with additional STR-related companies.

Pros

If you need a great tool this is it! From the ease of set-up to the great email letters to the ability to create your own emails this is the software for you.

Cons

It does not interface with direct booking sites at the moment.
