Basic Plan

How does it work?

  • Build Your Store: Add your own services, local services, or physical products to your store.
  • The Host Co. takes care of scheduling services, inventory, and theft prevention.
  • Share your store link with guests. No downloads or hardware are needed.
  • Start selling – Guests make purchases via the link you shared.
  • The Host Co. takes care of guest receipts, sales tax, and payouts to you and vendors.
  • Guest Fees –  In addition to collecting taxes and credit card processing fees, your guest will be charged an 8% commission fee for processing your payment with The Host Co.

 

Online Store – Hosts and property managers can put local services, and/or physical products in their stores.

Customizable Dashboard

  • You can customize your store name, photo, and address.

Commission Rate and Payout Schedule

  • You set the price of items you stock.
  • Hosts receive 5-15% of service-related commissions (tours, chefs, massages, yoga, etc.)
  • Sales tax and convenience fees (5-8%) are charged to guests during checkout.
  • Host payment is on the 7th day of each month for the calendar month prior.
  • Payout via PayPal.

Restocking

  • Host stocks items and manage them with their store dashboard.
  • Some hosts prefer to sell items that don’t need stock such as scheduled services, or items and services from local vendors.

Unpaid stocks taken by guests

  • They have a four-layer theft prevention system, starting with technology that only provides the products’ location on the guest’s email receipt.

Purchasing Information

  • Guests will receive an email receipt of their purchase and instructions on accessing the items.

Refund/ Returns

  • Contact The Host Co Support for return and refund assistance and they will ensure your request gets processed.
