Businesses and individuals seeking a more homelike alternative to extended-stay hotels can use HouseStay to book premium temporary residences online with a few clicks.

How do properties join?:

Creating a listing is Free and does not require any payment method.

  • Simply create an account that works best for you and click on List My Property to add as many properties as you like.
  • Automatically upload listings using one of the following channel managers: Rentals United, HostAway, and Guesty (Coming at the end of April).

Can any property join, or is there a criterion?:

The property must meet the requirements listed below:

  • It must be an entire home or apartment: You cannot list spare rooms or shared spaces
  • The house or apartment must be fully furnished
  • All utilities must be included in the monthly rent: WiFi, electricity, Gas, Water, Heat, Etc.
  • Must be available for a minimum of 1 month (30 nights)
  • Must have unit-specific photos (no cookie-cutter/generic unit photos)
  • Must pass HouseStay home inspection (if applicable): This is scheduled during the listing creation process.
  • Must meet our minimum quality standards and requirements
  • Supports Matterport Videos for listings (optional)

Fee to Host: Hosts will receive 95% net of any monthly rate.

Fee to Tenants: Tenants pay a 5% fee as well.

Payment Mode: HouseStay uses Stripe as a payment processor. It also supports credit cards, debit cards, and ACH payments.

Liability insurance: Not provided.

Damage insurance: Currently selecting an insurance partner to implement damage insurance up to $30,000

Security Deposit: Yes

Do they provide guest details such as email address and phone number to the host?

  • All communications should be done on the HouseStay messaging system. Email and phone numbers are provided upon confirmation of the transaction once tenants complete the booking process.

Host payment method: HouseStay uses Stripe as a payment processor. It also supports credit cards, debit cards, and ACH.

Integrations: HouseStay can be integrated into your existing software if you have a minimum of 100 listings.
